Celebrating Hakka Heritage on the Meatmen Zone

It’s not every day that a home-based Hakka kitchen gets to share a stage with some of Singapore’s most exciting food names — but this year, Aunty Siam proudly did just that at GastroBeats 2025, and what a journey it’s been.

From our humble home kitchen to a buzzing festival booth, Aunty Siam had the honour of being featured at The Meatmen Zone, alongside culinary innovators and rising home-based brands. We showcased our traditional Hakka dishes — including our signature Mei Cai Kou Rou Bun (梅菜扣肉包), Suan Pan Zi (算盘子), and of course, the star of the show: Aunty Siam’s Hakka Fried Pork paired with our specialty homemade chilli.

Supported by Community, Powered by Heritage

A heartfelt thank you to the Nanyang Hakka Federation, whose support and belief in our mission to preserve and promote Hakka flavours gave us the confidence to step into this major public stage. Their encouragement meant the world to us and reminded us why we do what we do.

We also had the pleasure of walking this journey with new friends — fellow small business owners and culinary dreamers from the Gastrobuds mentorship program. The community spirit was real, from late-night prep encouragement to sharing ice packs and advice on crowd flow. It felt like a kampung.

A Shoutout to the OGs Who Lift Others Up

Special shoutouts to industry veterans like Papi’s Tacos and Jett’s Barbeque, who didn’t just share the grounds with us — they looked out for us. From lending a hand to offering booth tips and even resharing us on Instagram (which brought more hungry bellies our way), their generosity reminded us what the F&B family is truly about.

“When the big names support the small kitchens, magic happens.”

What’s Next for Aunty Siam?

GastroBeats 2025 wasn’t just a sales milestone — it was a spark. The conversations, feedback, and love from customers have reaffirmed our path forward:

  1. Our private kitchen bookings will be opening soon!

  2. Our homemade chilli jars will be available for pre-order end August!

  3. And yes — we’re already planning our Chinese New Year bakes for 2026.

From our family to yours — thank you for believing in our flavours, our story, and our journey.

See you soon around the dinner table.
